El Instituto de Investigaciones Ambientales del Pacfico se reunio en Enero, 2019 para discutir el Proyecto del Canal Interoceanico de Colombia entre Choco y Antioquia, rios Atrato y Truando. El Dr. Jaime Gomez, viene investigando este tema desde el 2012 para contribuir un grano de arena a la crisis humanitaria que se vive en Choco. El Choco hermosa esquina de Sur America en el Noroeste de Colombia, lleno de recursos naturales unicos, donde hay gran potencial de desarrollo pero tambien donde hay miles de ninos sufriendo desnutricion y una escaces de recursos de salud y educacion. Esperamos que un proyecto de esta magnitud solucione la crisis humanitaria y elimine el 60% de desempleo de la zona.
The Institute of Environmental Research of the Pacific met in January, 2019 to discuss the Interoceanic Canal Project of Colombia between Choco and Antioquia, and the Atrato and Truando rivers. Dr. Jaime Gomez, has been investigating this issue since 2012 to contribute a grain of sand to the humanitarian crisis in Choco. The beautiful Choco corner of South America in Northwest Colombia, full of unique natural resources, where there is great potential for development but also where there are thousands of children suffering from malnutrition and a shortage of health and education resources. We hope that a project of this magnitude will solve the humanitarian crisis and eliminate 60% of unemployment in the area.
