Nunca he estado en el Chocó y posiblemente nunca vaya,pero me parte el corazón saber que los niños nativos se estan suicidando por hambre!
No puedo comprender por que habiendo tantos rios, no
comen pescado, por que teniendo tanta agua tienen una
mortalidad infantil del 10%,cinco veces mayor que en elresto del pais!
Como puede ser posible que casi medio millon de chocoanos vivan en la pobreza y el 65% son miserables en
medio de las minas de oro y de platino? Por que no
tienen una refinadora de platino y se tienen que
llevar el mineral en aviones para purificarlos en el
extranjero?
Por que no tienen una carretera? Mas de 200 km entre Medellin y Quibdó requieren 16 horas de bus?
Por que no tienen un canal de San Pablo, ordenado por Bolivar al Gobernador del Chocó Coronel Jose M Cancinoen 1822, si lo pueden hacer a pico y pala?
Qué hacen los Ingenieros de la Universidad Tecnológicadel Chocó?
Cuando piensan cumplir la ley 53 de 1984 por la
cual se ordena la construcción del canal de Colombia
entre los rios Atrato y Truando?
Los estudios ordenados por la ley mencionada deben
reposar en los archivos del antiguo ministerio de
obras públicas. Hay que desempolvarlos y actualizarlos. El Gobierno de la India ha construido mas de 4500 canales. No son una nacion imperial, fueron colonos
de los Ingleses y no tienen colonias pero si gran
tecnologia que les permitiría colaborar con Colombia
para hacer su canal.
Creo que en este Siglo XXI no pueden los Chocoanos continuar como van. Hay que cambiar, desarrollar,
alimentar y poner trabajar al 20% de la poblacion que esta sin trabajo. Hay 60.000 varones entre 20 y 39
años que se podian ocupar en excavar el canal. Les
unas retroexcavadoras incautadas a mineros ilegales,
pero hay que empezar YA, mañana es tarde!

ReplyDeleteI've never been in the Choco and possibly never will, but it breaks my heart to read the news that native children are committing suicide because they have nothing to eat! I cannot understand why in a place where there are so many rivers, they do not eat fish. Having so much water(rainfall is 30 ft a year) I do not understand that the infant mortality rate is 10%,five times higher than in the rest of Colombia!
How could it be possible that 65% of nearly half a million Chocoanos live in extreme poverty amid mines of gold and platinum?
Why don’t we have a platinum refinery instead of taking the platinum and ore by aircraft to purify abroad?
Why not have a road? More than 200 km between Medellín and Quibdó which requires 16 hours of bus?
Chocó has been blessed with natural resources. It has a coast on the Pacific Ocean and several rivers that connect to the Atlantic Ocean. So, why not have an interoceanic canal of San Pablo Istmus, connecting the Atrato and the Truandó Rivers to connect the two oceans? Another version of the Panamá canal.
Bolivar ordered the Governor of Chocó Colonel Jose M Cancino in 1822, to dig it by pick and shovel?

Colombian Law 53 of 1984 ordered the construction of the Colombia canal

I believe that in this new century people from Choco cannot continue to live in a survival mode. You have to change, develop, nurture and bring work to 20% of the population that is jobless. There are 60,000 men between 20 and 39 years old available for work, why can’t they dig up the canal?
A battalion of military engineers and a backhoes seized from illegal miners could be used, but we must start NOW!
